Bag Cutting - Design 1

Save time and money while dramatically increasing safety when loading dry bulk material into your equipment. Our heavy-duty bag cutters can be installed on new equipment or retrofitted over existing hoppers (bag cutters are standard in all D&H Blending Systems).

Creating a safety hazard by putting your employees under a suspended load! The bag cutter eliminates the need of an additional person to manually cut the bag from underneath using a hand blade. Additionally, bag cutters can usually be easily viewed from the ground level, allowing you to recognize if it is engaged and reducing unnecessary climbing on equipment.

All designs puncture well into the bag’s material utilizing vertical stakes and/or chisel-type blades to ensure a sufficient opening is made so material is easily released from the bag. D&H has several designs of bag cutter, each fit for an ideal purpose.

• Design 1 includes arrow shaped cutter that pierces the center of the bulk bag.
• Design 2 also punctures the bulk bag’s bottom center but utilizes cutting blades that can be unbolted at the center and folded for transportation purposes on portable equipment.
• Design 3 is a specialized solution developed by D&H Equipment for unloading bulk bags with a bottom spout with cuts three sides out of the bag and leaves a flap on the front side.
